Why are all the bees gone from my neighborhood?
There is an extreme shortage of bees. In particular Arizona, there has been a large boom of the residential areas pushing the city out wards and the outskirts of the metropolitan area out; hence Beekeepers and farmland being pushed out. This is great for the economy but bad for people within the city. Abello Bees gets a lot of questions and concerns when doing Bee removal Phoenix that the homeowners have regarding the lack of bees in their neighborhood. Their trees simply are not getting pollinated, not to mention their gardens.
Exterminators
Exterminators are simply the worst for bees. There are quite a few problems with them the following is 10 of them:
- They are liscenced to kill bees – Most exterminators will claim to be a beekeeper and then turn around and kill the bees as soon as they show up
- They tend to be cheap on the front end and then charge an arm and a leg to remove the bees sometimes upwards of $6,000 just to remove a bee hive
- They use harsh cancer causing chemicals - a lot of the clients Abello Bees bee removal Phoenix deals with is those who are very sensitive to chemicals. Exterminators cannot avoid using these horrible substances
- They convince the public that all bees are “Africanized” in Phoenix Arizona
- Some claim to be beekeepers , yet kill bees
- Most don’t know the nature of bees, they focus on other insects like Spiders, ants, termites
- Melted honey comb and dead bees left inside of a structure actually attracts more bees in the future (within 1 -2 months) creating a solid repeat customer base for exterminators
- Most don’t know home or business building construction
- Poison will kill/ weaken the health of neighboring hives
- Sometimes the beehive is so large it takes 4-5 spray trips for an exterminator to fully kill the hive, in the meantime they can become extremely aggressive.

How Bee removal works
Basically if you could use X-Ray vision to see the entire beehive where it exists, inside of a wall, house, rocks, trees, or anywhere else you would see the entirety of the bee hive. The beehive exists as a superorganism that has the bees feeding larva, keeping the hive structurally sound, taking care of the queen, defending the hive. Bee Removal in Phoenix Arizona is simply the only way to keep all of the bees in a bee hive and structure as safe and sound as possible.

You can count on the fact that we use treatment free, natural methods of raising our bees. Check out www.abellobees.com for the best bee removal service for live bee removal in Phoenix. The bees are located in areas where there are no commercial pesticides used. We at Arizona Bees strive to create that most natural environment for our bees as possible, while still maintaining a safe environment for the bees.
Why removal and relocation and NOT extermination?
Bees will not just go away if you seal them up or even exterminate them. Wikipedia Search their behavior. Those that are foraging during the day will return and be upset that their hive is destroyed, also the bees inside will try to get out unless exterminated. If they are exterminated, you will now have to remove the comb as well. See my blog for some pictures of bees and comb being left behind after an exterminator killed the bees. The issue with left over honey and comb, is it can start to stink, not to mention drip down the walls of your house. Keep the bees and everyone else happy, and just call Abello bees to remove them.

Bees, Honey!
Honeybees are a wonderful and valuable superorganism. They provide us with honey and pollinate trees and plants that give us food and flowers. Please don't call an exterminator if you don't have to! In many cases beekeepers are able to successfully relocate your bees, and as a thank you we will gladly give you a some free honey and comb if your bees are producing on the spot (We harvest honey ONLY in spring once the pollen has started flowing, that way we know that what we are taking is truly excess from the bees winter stores, because remember, honey is the bees food). Therefore, if we collect your bees from a swarm, they will need to build comb to store honey for a whole year until we can harvest the honey the following spring. The only exception is when bees abscond (leave the hive), which sometimes happens with ferral hives. Either way keep in touch with us to find out if your bees are making honey. If you call us out for a hive removal, get a storage container ready, because we will give you some of the honey comb to try!
